Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Droitwich Web ("I", "me") handles information collected through this website (https://droitwichweb.co.uk). I am a web designer based in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

I only collect the information you choose to give me. When you submit the contact form, I receive your name, email address, business name and message so that I can respond to your enquiry.

When you enter a competition, I collect your name, email address, optional business name and message, and whether you opted in to marketing updates.

I use the details you provide solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. I do not sell your data, and I do not add you to any marketing lists without your explicit consent.

Competition entries are used to administer the draw, contact the winner, and (if you opted in) send occasional updates about Droitwich Web. Entry data is deleted within 12 months of the draw unless you have opted in to marketing.

Contact form submissions are processed by my contact-form Worker (forms.droitwichweb.co.uk), which stores the enquiry and emails me via Brevo. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to reduce spam.

Competition entries are submitted to my own API (api.droitwichweb.co.uk) and stored securely in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to reduce spam on competition entries.

The free website speed test (droitwichweb.co.uk/tools/speed-test/) sends the URL you enter to my API for a quick scan and a Google PageSpeed Insights mobile audit. Optional report emails store your email address and test results in D1. Google processes the URL on their infrastructure when Lighthouse runs. Cloudflare Turnstile is used on form submission. Report emails are sent via Brevo.

I use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, and how they interact with pages). Google and Microsoft may set cookies and process usage data according to their privacy policies. I use this information only to improve the site - not for advertising.

Analytics cookies are only loaded if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage) so I do not ask again on every visit. If you choose Reject, analytics and session replay will not run.

You can ask me what information I hold about you, request a copy, or ask me to delete it at any time. Just email hello@droitwichweb.co.uk and I will respond promptly.
